This huge Model 1012 Case Camp Knife is a design replica of the Foth 3218 English bowie Camp Knife allegedly used by John Wilkes Booth during the Lincoln assassination in the Ford Theater in 1865. When during his escape, he slashed the arm of Army Officer Major Rathbone who was in the theater balcony with Lincoln.The overall length is 15 with a sharpened full tang blade length of 10. The blade is a ¼ thick.
The blade material is Cases True Sharp® Proprietary This is a highly collectible vintage piece stamped with the # 0075 (of only 500 made). Case also made 500 Stag Handled versions of this Camp Knife. The blade is stamped CASE XX with the elongated tailed C logo. Indicating the knife was made during the 1980s. Also stamped on the blade are the words.
The knife has beautiful horn scales set with 6 nickel-silver pins (3 on each side). The guard is also nickel-silver.
This fine Case knife much sought after by Case collectors, comes in the original box. Also included are COA (Certificate of Authenticity) and the original fine leather sheath. NKCA Condition Grade is Mint. Sheath has a small scuff mark near top.
